VIDEO Quaids Whacked Interview: Lohan Gibson Spears Killed By 'Star-Whackers'

It's been a bizarre year for Randy and Evi Quaid, the oddball celeb couple whose frequent brushes with the law -  and blow-offs of the court - have made for plenty of police blotter and tabloid fodder.

On Monday, the eccentric couple appeared on Good Morning America in a taped interview from Vancouver,  Canada,  where they discussed their fears in detail over how they'd be "whacked" if they return to Tinseltown by predators they say are the trying to kill them for financial gain.

"To have my integrity and my reputation denigrated so mercilessly, why, why would someone want to do this to me?" Randy asked.

Evi said those targeting she and her husband include an estate planner, an accountant and the mafia, all working in force to "take the money" they've earned in their careers.

"We are refugees - I mean that 's essentially what it is - Hollywood refugees, seeking to be left alone by the criminals," Evi said. "I genuinely feel like these people are trying to kill us."

Randy said those against him "follow us, they tag our cell phone they hack their computer," adding that "now with the Internet, a celebrity is fair game" in hopes of pumping up advertising profits.

Randy said "it is very possible that Heath Ledger could have been murdered, and David Carradine," while Evi chimed in that "Robert Blake could have been set up.”

The couple said other celebs that have been targeted by similar evil forces include Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears and Mel Gibson.

"I think he was drugged," Evi said in response to our exclusive tapes of Gibson's foul-mouthed rants toward his baby's mother that made worldwide headlines this summer. "I think he was slipped a mickey ... to steal his money and ruin him."

Both denied being mentally unstable or under the influence of drugs.

"Does murder happen? Does embezzlement happen?" Evi asked. "That's all I want, is somebody to investigate."

Randy added, "We're just trying to find some safety and security in this ... we're not faking it, we’re confronting it."

Quaid said they've had money problems after financial advisers stole from him, to the extent that they go without food on some days.

He said his relationship with brother Dennis, also a big name actor, has been "a little bit tense the past few years, but I love my brother very much."

He said Dennis has been "victimized by the same people" but "he doesn't respond" to Randy's warnings.

"Dennis is now on a treadmill of making movies that are garbage, and it’s unfortunate, because he's talented," Evi said.

The couple has been ordered to appear in a Santa Barbara courtroom Tuesday on charges of illegally squatting.
