Mick Jagger Autographed Tuxedo

Sold For $2,750

The largest crowd in Rich Stadium history, topping out around 77,000, gathered to see the Rolling Stones perform their 4th of July Show in 1978 in Buffalo, New York. The Stones were on a high, having just released their return-to-form album Some Girls, which hit number one on the charts. Many looked at the album as the Rolling Stones' answer to the challenge offered by the new movements of punk and disco. This blue and white patterned tuxedo jacket with black velvet collar was welcoming gift to the Rolling Stones for the show. Mick Jagger signed the jacket in red ink across the shoulders. "The Stones" is silk screened across the back of the jacket along with the names of the show producers and the sponsors. The jacket is mounted on a white fabric background in a metallic display case. Brass plaque at bottom right reads, "Tuxedo autographed by Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones." Excellent condition; ink has faded over time. Frame: 46 x 32
