For some reason this song came into my head and I had to find it, just to get it out of my system. Haven't heard this since I was a little girl. It's still as I remember! I didn't fully understand the lyrics back then, not sure I do now ;)

I remember singing this in elementary school, and being sent to the principal's office! Hey! I WAS JUST A KID, and I felt the tune was catchy! I thought a ding a ling was the way the phone rang!

Hysterical. Sounds like Toby Keith's "The Critic" I don't think I've heard this since it came out 38 years ago.

I really don't need to hear it again for another 38. All set.

Remember it being played on KFC in San Francisco.The DJ was saying THIS IS A HIT IN U.K.!???

He played sample of it, panning it badly. Those are terrible, lyrics!! We didn't know it was double deterrent song! He didn't play entire song.

LOT heard putting phone in bedroom, ..turns out SHE GOT IT in bedroom also! LOT!

It reached #6 in UK and #18 in US billboard charts.

I was 8-9 years old when this came out. I didn't know everything about the "birds and the bees" at the time, but when I heard her sing "I got it in the bedroom and I got it in the hall", it was pretty obvious that it wasn't about telephone installation.
