Replied to a comment on Willy DeVille - Beautiful Losers part 1
Karma's a bitch!: As you may know, our friend Roger Steinbrink recently underwent surgery for Prostate cancer. The great news is the surgery was a success and he is now cancer free!
Roger is a very talented and hardworking carpenter - and a very generous, caring and non judgmental human being. Never one to brag or make an issue out of helping others, Roger simply does what needs to be done. Always going above and beyond for friends and clients, always ready and willing to help whenever someone needs a hand and never asking for anything in return, Roger is a true friend to many - the kind of person this world could use more of.
Now Roger could use a hand. He is on the mend and feeling better and better every day, but healing takes time. Already unable to work for over a month and still needing at least another month to properly recover, Roger’s bills and expenses are piling up. By now his savings are gone and he has liquidated as many assets as possible. His best friend and housemate has taken on additional work to help keep them afloat, but it is not enough to cover outstanding medical bills and the ongoing usual expenses of life.

Commented on Born to lose - The last Rock N Roll movie. Johnny Thunders Alt Version 1
Willie DeVille was my french quarter neighbor and gallery client when Thunders died. he used to hang out on his stoop like in the picture. he had no idea Thunders was staying at the St. Peter House until he was found dead that morning (it turned out to be next door to Willie's quaint Creole cottage). Willie told me that he made up the story of Johnny Thunders dying with a guitar in his hands and a bunch of international bank notes all over the floor for a little frazzle dazzle. JT really died from an overdose from some unsavory characters who sold him a bunch of hot shots. all his life a junky and JT dies from an OD in the Quarter. it was a bad day right in the middle of Jazz Fest. Willie was pissed but he never figured out who was responsible.

i'm glad you have hired my favorite artist to represent ESA. Now, maybe you can address some of the catastrophic problems at some of your 700 locations.
so far, Twitter has ignored this, and as of today Facebook, by someone named "D" has followed their lead.
i am looking for a new mattress, not anything that resembles guest relations.
i have stayed here for two years.
please let me know if you are unable to provide new mattresses to replace old mattresses with holes in them and springs poking out, so that i may forward this request and response to the appropriate person.
if this is too much trouble i will begin posting photographs to your favorite hotel booking sites.
thanks for your attention.
baton rouge citiplace has a 2.9 rating but i'm hoping that someone in corporate or the regional manager has even just a slight bit of pride and has not completely given up on what is being represented online as a slum.
please prove everyone wrong and respond to this request.

Commented on Vagina Monologues: Jerry Lee Lewis and Serge Gainsbourg!
*Private footage never aired (for good reason)
"If videos wore clothing, this video would wear a pink ruffled tuxedo shirt under a Leopard skin Smoking Jacket!"
Almost as excited as the day I found this and posted it on my last FB profile...and YouTube (both of which are gone).
Today after doing research and realizing that I was missing its favorite dirty uncle whose only relation to this private x-rated, backstage, pussy-powwow, is the coincidence of being taped from the same sweat lodge...well, I finally found it stored away...and wrote this:
Serge Gainsbourg and Jerry Lee Lewis, France, 1987.
Mean fucking hair.
The Defest jams in my life, courtesy of a Leopardskin Jacket--fucking drunken eyes, sir...fucked up.
It's about incest and backstage domestics...and honing the guitar.
It has a pink ruffled tuxedo shirt. Serge is rared up.
They offer five shots of the hands in a guild of excess and neglect, nor concern with opinions and morals or society.
Jerry Lee was glad to see Elvis dead. He could finally rest.
The fuck-ups were happy to be together in France--all in good humor and improbable.
This video is from a French Fan Club--it has issued clear, and God loves them for its public dissemination and for its potentiality to summit the anti-legendary heroes, never before seen together, never before heard like this (dialogue too real to be concatenated by Tosches, too exuberant to be invented for the annals of popular music).
[Late Latin concatnre, concatnt- : com-, com- + catnre, to bind (from Latin catna, chain)]
I want to burn in Hell indelibly in the soul of its irreverent lasciviousness.
Strong and strange and from their mouths, dare I say it, is its innocence.
"Quintessence, nary more picaresque."
The relationship of these two architects of the dark side--the side of the rock-roll Lethe--should be played nine hours per day in a museum, somewhere between lunchtime in Paris and supper in Ferriday, where the price of admission is as padded as the upholstered velveteen cushions on which recumbent children and men over forty commingle in Roman deflation.
I see you mouthwatering at the thought.
Open it with my blessings; connect to its memory; send it to your colleagues with its subtle message impossible to pin down; tattoo its URL to your bicep or above your butt crack; force your wife or girlfriend to recite it from memory; commit crimes against nature in its name: illegal cunnilingus, hummable fellatio (God-fearing citizens will be exalted in schadenfreude); thank God you're a fuck-up, and take as its gift its leopardskin coat.
Happiness so small and insignificant never fails a lonely summer night.
Serendipity? Fuck him.

Commented on Jerry Lee Lewis Serge Gainsbourg (Midi doc)
i know i say this a lot, but I THOUGHT THIS WAS LOST FOREVER! yOU are so lucky that i found it again. This is the most ribald, Bacchanalian, unloosed, beautiful and warm meeting of filthy minds (jerry lee had absolutely no idea who Serge was) i've ever witnessed.
Commented on Bizarre Story of Jerry Lee Lewis Anything Goes Sack Rac ...
The weirdest Jerry lee lewis video I've ever seen, and I've seen a few! My thanks to killernofiller667 - who either had the persistence and resourcefulness to find and upload this, or was the luckiest Jerry Lee Fan on the Internet for stumbling on it (the way I feel after at first thinking it was just a spam alert, until I saw what didn't look like Jerry Lee, but was definitely his voice--that's when I knew for sure...AND THINGS JUST GET WEIRDER FROM THERE.

Commented on Jerry Lee Lewis "How Do You Know?"
Myra Lewis Williams
ya could say Jerry was a little on the defensive side that day, Phoebe and I were there at the hospital in Memphis and every single day Dr. Fortune told us he was critical and could die at any moment.
Doug Meet
i remember well the Half-dollar sized hole in his stomach. I think he was at Baptist Memorial. This footage which was used on 20/20 must've been shot soon after (the interviewer was a famous correspondent whose name began with Jack--he died a few years back). I have never seen Jerry so fired up in an interview before. I suppose it could be attributed to a lot of things. I didn't realize that you and Phoebe were there in Nesbit during his convalescence though. Thanks for writing in.

Commented on BART BARTON - THE BATTLE OF EARL K LONG !!!
In 1958 or 1959 Ernie Barton recorded ''The Battle Of Earl K. Long'' b/w ''The Man With A Heart Of Gold'' for Honesty Records in Memphis. The record was designed to promote the gubernatorial ambition of Louisiana's Earl K. Long, who was serving his third term as governor, but considered resigning so that he could run a constitutionally prohibited fourth time. ''Ann Higdon was Earl Long's niece''. said Barton, ''and Long was trying to run for governor again. She'd written this poem, ''The Battle Of Earl K. Long''. It didn't really work until I changed it around.

i'm just going to say it before anyone else does: this was Stephen Paddocks theme song--and before you say he was on the 32nd floor, don't forget Vegas don't have no 13th floor. I'm sure i'll be contacted by the FBI, but I'll be glad to cooperate as long as they make me a profiler.

Commented on Jerry Lee Lewis Drunkest Whole Lotta Shakin'
if you're wondering, jerry had flown all the way to Australia and no one can blame him, he'd taken a few mandrax, but then because of the time difference, etc., he may have
had a touch of Seagram's before the show, which sounds completely tame
these days compared to some of these long haired, heavy metal kids who
take hard drugs, can't perform on stage, and then go back to their hotel
room and die.
