Staff review flagged YouTube videos 24 hours a day, seven days a week to determine whether they violate our Community Guidelines. When they do, we remove them. Sometimes video is not violate our Community Guidelines, but may not be suitable for everyone. The video is age-restricted.
When videos were age-restricted, warning screen is displayed and only users can 18 or older to watch it. In order to reduce the chances of users accidentally stumbling across these videos, they are excluded from certain sections of YouTube (eg honors pages like 'Most Viewed part').
Some of the content is age-restricted common include:
Obscene material
Nudity or partial nudity is non-sexual
Actual violence or very graphic fictional violence
Gory, imagery level in an appropriate context
Notable exceptionsThere are exceptions for some, art educational materials and scientific information (eg health education, documenting human rights issues, etc.), unless this is the sole purpose of the video and it is not gratuitously graphic. For example, a documentary on breast cancer may be appropriate, but posting clips could out of context from the documentary to be. There are videos that qualify as educational, artistic, or scientific documentary would have been removed otherwise usually age-restricted instead.
When evaluating video 'sexual suggestive'?Not Videos featuring sexually explicit content like real sex acts allowed. Other material may like nudity and implied sexual behavior play or obscene consider depending on whether or not it is intended or designed to arouse viewers.
Nudity includes exposed or partially covered genitalia, buttocks, or breasts, as well as sheer clothing. Videos can featuring individuals in minimal or revealing clothing may also be age-restricted if they are intended to elicit a sexual response.
Additional factors include a combination of:
Whether breasts, buttocks, or genitals (clothed or unclothed) the focal point of the video *.
Whether the obscene video site (eg general location of sexual activity, such as bed);
Whether the subject is reflected in the author intended to sexually arouse the viewer;
Whether actions in the video content indicated a willingness to engage in sexual activity (eg kissing, provocative dancing, fondling), and
If material is minimally clothed, the clothing would be acceptable in appropriate public contexts (eg swimwear vs. underwear).
* Focal point is determined by factors including the length of time the image appears in the video (long vs. fleeting exposure) especially compared to the total length of the video, the camera angle and focus, the relative clarity of the images in the video , the lighting, and the video thumbnail (a subject that appears in the thumbnail also considered to be a focal point).
