"In Soviet Russia, Rock groups were not allowed to call themselves, 'Rock' Groups on ideological grounds (officially it was believed that rock music was "a product of decaying Western culture"), so these groups coined the term vocal-instrumental ensemble, or, in abbreviated form, "VIA".
A conversation between leading transmission producer, Fyodor Khitruk and National Artist, Oleg Tabakov brings us back to the music of Soviet cartoons including excerpts from their favorites:
