Nude Woman, inspired by Tom Wesselman, around 1970, 76 x 54 cm

Mrs. Horstick-Schmitt, what you like about the subject act?
I love the aesthetics of the form (s). Women as erotic beings inspire me. The world of women is extremely complex and multidimensional. The mixing of genres, including the blurring of real and virtual beauty, constitute the photographic-communicative aspect that should be visually meaningful, and discover the recipients of the message behind the one told in this way, '' story '' like. The choreography of the moment I'm charmed by it.

How far would you go? Are there any taboos?
#alternativtext
No pornographic images, and images of women in sexist power which plays a role. The woman for me is not a sex object, but a man with soul and aura. Being a woman is beautiful, and the man should remember.
When an act is a work of art?
In groping to the female body and soul, and when used aura of beauty. If the photo has a soul and the viewer feels inspired by him. There are so many considerations. Art is an elastic term.
Is it inspiring role models for you?
Intuition, my imagination and my dreams are important to me. Because I find it beautiful, I had also my own body as a model (not to sound arrogant, but I stand by myself). In photography, there are no real role models for me since I always test out my boundaries and try out what is going on. Since I've been working occasionally as a model, I got to know other beautiful women that looked like elves for me. I have always admired the essence of the woman. Men are more likely just not my subject, although I think my husband mad. But I would not even think of photographing male nudes.
What are the issues you are concerned as well?
I am concerned also with human beings, non-profit projects and family portraits of the present day. Portraits and architecture in the context of their landscape inspire me. I'm interested also collages and my work on "Doll Pictures" and their escape from the usual contexts. I also like buildings that were abandoned and no one is responsible - for example, industrial plants and empty houses. Deserted beaches and places are dear to me, because of the silence and the quiet wind noise that can be heard on them. Poetry and melancholy are important to me in my photo work. provide political current issues such as terrorism, war and fashion in the context is a concern in my installations and photographic works since 2001.
What project would you like to realize before?
I would be happy to go to Afghanistan and work there. Since I was four times in Kosovo and then in the form of a report on human trafficking that have worked in detail, I am interested in Afghanistan, the human rights of women. Women are still there, stoned and have no rights and are considered as property. If I could change it a bit, I would do it. Unfortunately, there is simply too dangerous. Another project would be a new book with photos from my stock, out of my life as a photographer and a woman.
