Johnny Dang has single handedly changed the way entertainers today wear jewelry. Known as “The Jeweler to the Stars”, Dang created eccentric jeweled pieces that accessorized and defined the lifestyles of popular Hip Hop stars today. Dang’s struggle to become Hip Hop’s most beloved jeweler wasn’t always diamonds and gold. Starting as a watch repair technician and renting a small section in a local Houston Flea Market led to Dang’s passion for creating a brand. His next business venture began with a location in Sharpstown Mall also in Houston Texas, and later a second store in the same mall. Johnny’s popularity and business tenacity forced other competing chained jewelry stores such as Zales to close their doors.
