what...how does it fit in her vagina?!!!

this is the kind of immature stupid comments we have to put up with all the time. Ludicrous.

This is a very healthy and rational relationship she has.
This is what you get when you live in a society based on the creedo "as long as it feels good and doesn't hurt anyone." Ofcourse "hurt" when accompanied with consent, seems to be okay. I guess this is just a small stretch from people's obsession with sex toys. She's lost her family and her friends (good morning america coverage). That is hurting her. I wonder at what point we as a society will start helping this people rather than validating them.

We dont need 'help' in the sense you are describing. This is nothing like the same as sex toys, or even a small stretch. Not all OS people even had any sexual contact with their lovers. It is a HUGE MISCONCEPTION that OS relationships are based on sex, and I truly think this is the sole reason that some people have a problem with it. because they dont know all the facts, and make assumptions when they know little about it. She has many friends.

well what I am saying, is that if you actaully knew her, you would not be saying that. She has lost people along the way, but she has found new ones as well.
We OS people can communicate with our object lovers.. not the same way as one human to another. it is different. I have great difficulty describing how it works, but I know for me it does come naturally

more war below the border

Maybe it's a form of arrested development, and she's stuck in a child like state, having similar tendencies as children have with imaginary friends. Maybe there isn't anything wrong with it, except that she's too old for it.

im not sure.
I am about me though - I know this developed from my childhood experiences. and not necessarily bad ones. I had many good childhood experiences after having a shaky start in life. When I was little I didnt have imaginary friends but I did have plenty of toys . I shared my bed with as many as I could fit until I moved house at the age of 13, I loved them. Of course it was childhood love so they were more like family rather than partners

@Synergistik Why not just let her be? I don't understand the media fascination with this. These people aren't harming anyone, so why should anyone care?

She is harming herself, by making herself devoid friends, family, and a healthy normal relationship with a human being. We should care for others.

Who are you to say that she's doing any of that? She's happy with her lifestyle, let her be.

Who is anyone? You take that approach, then no one should say anything or take concern for anyone. We live in a society, and we should have more than just a superficial concern about people, beyond apparent harm.

You sure do like to make assumptions. First you say that she is hurting herself, now you're saying I don't think you should be concerned with people. Neither is true, at all. If you want to be concerned for people, why not spend your time being concerned for the people who just lost their job, the people on the streets, etc. Why are you so concerned with one woman's sexual preference? She's happy the way she is. Just because you don't agree with it, doesn't make it wrong.

Speaking about assumptions...what makes you think I'm not concerned about other people and their specific problems and challenges?

And on the same note then, just because she's appears happy and healthy, or you're fine with it doesn't make it ok. The relativism argument always fails, because it's reflexive.

Life is meant to be lived with interactions, bonds with family and friends, and life partner as well. Happiness, without proper context, is not the absolute goal in life.

@Synergistik "Life is meant to be lived with interactions, bonds with family and friends, and life partner as well. Happiness, without proper context, is not the absolute goal in life."

With all due respect, if any is due, who the fuck are you to say how life is meant to be lived, or what other people's goals in life should be?
