hello mr. sargent,

i just happened upon your Molinare Video Facilities Showreel (1980) video which you posted today.  now having been to your lovely site and seen some of the rest of your work, i'd just like to tell you how much i've enjoyed it.  And esp. the new orleans mardi gras jazz piece, living their myself.

New Wave Video Production (UK) 1980 Best Video You've Never Seen

Thanks Stefan Sargent for uploading this yesterday to YouTube so that I could find it with one of my many surgically placed Google Alerts (in answer to your question, believe it or not, I have an alert for 'Hot Gossip').  I advise those of you who are as mesmerized as I was to find something as obscure and historic as this document to visit Mr. Sargent's Website so that you may discover even more film, video from a filmmaker which I'm sorry to say I had no knowledge of until Christmas of 2009.

By the way:  Who is that presenter?  He must've gotten more tail than Sinatra in the day!

I'm amazed that you found my videos... how?

As YouTube has a 10 minute limit, I cut my New Orleans Stomp movie into 7 or 8 sections - plus an extra "New Orleans Bump" and one of Robert Parker who restored the music and one of me talking about shooting Mardi Gras in 2000 or maybe 2001

Go ahead and put them on Facebook if you want

Thanks

S
