this is supposed to start a bass player thread war: like 'what do you mean if i can find them?', and then the other bassist replies with some kind of notation from 'islands in the stream' which are obviously unobtrusively emanating from something which can never be explained or restrained from anyone except the baton rouge/praireville king of the bottom. if you never follow my posts then scroll d... my favorite artist and best advertisement against and for self-medicating. who knew i would find the greatest artist in the world, Noel Rockmore, at Original Johnny White's on St. Peter, right around the corner from me and Willy DeVille's house in the French Quarter. who knew anything anyhow?

okay, after all that call me at the something residence stay america, and then let it ring for a long time because they are incompetent and then ask for me by name (ask brenda my name) or room 225 and see if you can get through. if not you can totally be in a class action suit with my mother and a couple other people. love, m

was it pug or...we'll i'm blanking. i've known a lot of famous people but he was the most gifted writer i've still ever met, and like he made you want to write, he made me want to live, and got me my first job in nyc through his longtime publisher at knopf, simply because i was the only student who looked him up and drank with him in oxford after msu was over. i've got all the first editions, even nightwatchmen with its purple cover. i cried when he died--i think somewhere between chilton, dickinson, deville, rockmore, etc.

Through his friend Vetter, Hornsby’s album is eventually released but not promoted, and he begins years of live performances, living in Baton Rouge on the edge of fame, continually pushing away those close to him. He drifts to Nashville for a second shot at recording, but instead of a hit manages to find a wife and partner. After his music career finally crashes, Hornsby finds redemption, of sorts... See More

does it really sound good? i know how much juice Johnny Palazzotto has. and if he found, produced, or did anything to bring us Butch Hornby i am forever grateful; and i am already with his allegiance or just association with Cyril Vetter and the Genesis of Swingin' Medallions and let's shout out John Fred and the Playboys but do i have to like this record to support? i might do it. but only because Hans VanBrackle was such a cool guy who provided a calming influence on the anniversary of a group which they admittedly admired. i would love to listen to it if someone can squash it down into something online. love, m.

we've got so many windows that i get to talk about Clapton-proof and defenestration (my favorite word) as a matter of course in the middle of the day. Took me a minute to figure out what it was!
