The George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band has already toured successfully in Russia in 1996. The sensitive Russian audience and the Band hit it off and left both parties wanting another visit of the Band to Russia. Russia always had an active Jazz scene which became even more active after the fall of communism. Since then many festivals were founded. The tour starts in Germany, travels to Russia and finally ends in Amsterdam.
